Reset Windows Server 2008 / 2012 Domain Admin Password

This password reset applies to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition. To Reset Windows Server 2008 domain admin password Ill be using the Server installation disc.

1. Insert the installation disc in your locked Server 2008 and boot from it. When prompted with the Language,Time and Keyboard click on Next.

2. Click “Repair your computer“on the bottom left of the screen. DO NOT CLICK ON INSTALL NOW!!

3. Select the Operating System if is not already selected, and click Next.

4. Click on “Command Prompt” link.

5. Enter the following command to backup the utilman.exe file:
Move C:\Windows\System32\Utilman.exe C:\Windows\System32\Utilman0.exe.

6. Now copy cmd.exe and rename it to Utilman.exe:
Copy C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe C:\Windows\System32\Utilman.exe

7. Now restart the server.

8. When it reboots, at the Logon screen click on the Ease of access icon.

9. To change the Admin password enter the following command::
net user administrator *
10. You’ll be prompted to enter and confirm your new Password. While typing your new password you wont be able to see the characters being entered.

11. Done. You’ve just changed the Administrator password.

To change utilman0.exe. Back to it’s original state. Go thought the same process and enter the following command:
Move C:\Windows\System32\Ultiman0.exe C:\Windows\System32\Ultiman.exe
you’ll be asked to overwrite enter the letter “Y” and press Enter.

Reset Forgotten Domain Admin Password on Server 2012

This tutorial will show you how to reset forgotten domain admin password on Server 2012. To accomplish the task you would need the Windows Server 2012 installation disc.

1. Boot from the Windows Server 2012 installation disc. When prompted with the Language, Time and Keyboard click on Next.

Rename “This PC” Back to “My Computer”

Microsoft changed the name of “My Computer” to “This PC”, for those users that prefer it the old way, you can easily rename it.

It’s really simple just right-click and rename.

The settings will take place everywhere, you just need to refresh the desktop.

Aktuální hrozba, která šifruje data, používá neprolomitelnou šifru

Poslední varianta hrozby, která po spuštění zašifruje data na pevném disku, je o proti dřívějším výskytům upravena a používá již velmi bezpečnou šifrovací metodu. Po několika dnech analýzy množství dat již bohužel víme, že klíč k dešifrování souborů není možné nalézt. Soubory jsou zakryptovány šifrou AES pomocí generovaného 256 bitového klíče. Klíč je dále zabezpečen šifrou RSA 2048. Bez znalosti klíče nelze data obnovit.

Upozornění:
Podle posledních informací virus nešifruje kompletní obsah disku, u  některých souborů pravděpodobně mění jen příponu. Alespoň u části změněných dat tak může pomoci vrátit souborům jejich původní příponu.

Před tímto typem nákazy není možná 100% ochrana.

V posledních měsících se šíří různé varianty škodlivého souboru, který po svém spuštění zašifruje data na pevných discích. Zašifruje také data na všech dostupných síťových složkách, které má uživatel namapované jako disky pod určitým písmenem. Může tak dojít i k zašifrování velkého množství dat, které se nacházejí na souborových serverech i internetových službách, jako je Dropbox či OneDrive.

Pro šíření tohoto škodlivého souboru je nejčastěji použita technika sociálního inženýrství. Uživatel obdrží e-mailovou zprávu, která vyhrožuje např. exekutorským řízením či informuje uživatele, že má nevyzvednutou zásilku. Škodlivý soubor může být přímo v příloze e-mailové zprávy, nebo je ve zprávě uveden odkaz na podvrženou webovou stránku, odkud soubor stáhnete.

Zpráva většinou neobsahuje další informace. Uživatel je pouze informován, že další podrobnosti najde v připojeném souboru či v souboru na webových stránkách, na které se dostane pomocí odkazu ve zprávě. Často je ve zprávě upozornění (výhrůžka), že pokud nebude zásilka vyzvednuta, či včas reagováno, bude účtováno penále. Uživatel je tak vlastně cíleně veden k tomu, aby škodlivý soubor spustil a zašifroval si data.

How to Migrate Windows 8.1 to an SSD Drive

To Migrate Windows 8.1 to an SSD is extremely simple the hardest part would be installing the Hard Drive. Since the SSD has no moving parts you don’t have to screw it down like you would on a normal PATA HD. all you need to do is place it on a secured location inside the Computer.
To Migrate Windows 8.1 to Solid State Drive:
1. Install your SSD hard drive on your computer and make sure is installed.

2. Download and install Paragon Hard Disk Manager 14.

3. Once installed run Hard Disk Manager 14, click yes to the UAC if prompted.

4. Select Migrate OS from the menu to run the Wizard.

5. Read the welcome screen and click next.

6. The Wizard will auto detect the installed drives. It will show you that is going to Migrate your Local Disk C: To: the SSD drive you have installed which in this case is Disk 1.

7. If you wish to Use all available space for the OS partition you can check mark the option next to it. That option is optional. Click on copy button.

8. The Migration process can take a long time depending on how much data you have stored on your Local Disk C:

9. Once done it will provide you with a brief explanation in case you are keeping both drives. In my case I’m only keeping the SSD drive so all we have to do is just turn off the computer, remove the source disk, and keep the SSD which is the destination Drive and turn the computer back on.

How to Download Google Play Apps to Your PC

Have you ever wonder how to download .apk’s from Google play store to your PC?  Some of this apps are not available in some countrys. So today you can download your apk to your computer using a free online tool, the good thing is there is no maximum file size meaning you can download any valid apps using this tool.

1. Go to the Apk Downloader by Evozi.

2. Then go to Google Play Store and find the app you want to download, click on it and copy the link from your browser.

3. Then return to apk downloader page (step 1) and paste the link in the blank space and click on Generate Download Link.

4. After the link is generated you can see details about that app and a new download link, click on it.

5. Now the file will be downloaded and saved to your default downloads location and you can now use it for your own purposes.

How to Reset any Windows PC Password – Free!!

if your computer is locked then you would need another computer to perform this task.

1. Download Hiren’s BootCD Zip File.

2. Extract it, to expose the content of the Zip file.

3. Locate the .ISO or Disc Image File. We need to burn the .ISO onto a disc.

a. If you are using Window 8 or 8.1 right click the .ISO and select Burn disk image.

b. If you are using Windows 7 just double click the .ISO Image.

4. Now select the Disc burner from the drop down, check mark Verify disc and Burn to create a disc out of that ISO file.

5. Once done, on the computer that is Locked you need to Change First Boot Device in BIOS to Boot From CD/DVD.

6. Once you have changed the boot order, on the locked computer place the newly created Hire’s Boot CD in the disk drive of the Locked PC and re-start it.

7. You’ll be prompted to “Press any key to boot from CD/DVD“. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

8. When you press the Enter key you’ll be prompted with the Hire’s boot Menu. There select Mini Windows XP using the arrow keys on your keyboard.

9. From the Mini Windows XP Desktop navigate to My Computer to locate the drive letter of your Local Disk. In this example my Local Disk is assigned the Letter D:

10. Once you have located the drive letter of your Local Disk. Close My Computer window.

How to Remote Access Your Android from Your Pc

Accessing your android phone from your computer is very easy and at the same time very useful, because you can also share files between them. So today you can remote access your Android using an app called Air Droid works on a local area network. The setup process is simple, taking roughly five minutes and little to no technical knowledge.
Install Air Droid and Remote Access you Android:
1. On your android phone download Air Droid from Play Store.

2. Open the downloaded app and check the IP address on the second text field box, and type that IP on your PC browser bar and press enter.

3. After that it will ask you to accept the connection and shows you an example on how to do it, just click accept on your phone.

4. After accepting the request it will open a page which helps you view detailed info about your phone.

5. Also in there on left side of the screen you have phone installed apps that you can access and make changes.

Usable Memory is less than the Installed Memory – Windows 7

Some users may have problems when it comes to the amount of ram installed on their computer. Example: you have 8 GB of ram installed but Windows 7 is using only 5 GB Usable Memory, that problem is very common.

1. Press the Windows + R keys to open run command and type msconfig and press enter.

2. Select Advanced options under Boot tab.

3. Check mark Maximum Memmory option and type the amount you want to use and press Ok and restart your pc to see the changes.

This is expected behavior on computers that are running Windows 7.

Use your Android Device as a Secondary Monitor

Everyone says that 2 is better than 1 , but not everyone have space or budget for a secondary monitor. Lets set your android device as a secondary monitor for free.

1. On your computer Download and install Splashtop.

2. Once  installed, go to the Play Store on your Android device search and install Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop.

3. Open the app and create a new Splashtop Account.

4. On your pc open the splashtop software and enter the new account you created on your android device and login.

5. Then get back on your device and the pc you are going to use is going to appear so click on it.

That’s it now you are using your Droid device as a second monitor.
